When I come back from my leave on Dec15, there will be a void in the office. About 20 of my family members have opted for the MSS (Mutual Separation Scheme) offered by Media Prima recently.
There was in fact more than that. But only about 20 were accepted. Some are close to be come millionaires as they have either reached 55 this year or going to be next year.
I have passed two VSS before this. I did not even open the offer letter. Likewise, now. The unopened letter is still in the folder on my desk.
Why? Because I love NST so much. Secondly, I am only into my sixth year of service. Can't even settle my Koop loan with the kind of money I would be getting.
But seriously? I love the paper (and the web). I know it is going to be tough but with Whatsapp and Telegram, we are actually not far away.
Here, I would like to offer by best of luck to Rashid, Khaidir, Sharif, Azlan, Theresa, Ramlan, Kams , Fauzan, Azmi...and the rest of the lucky ones.
You can do it....I know. And to those who did not get it, the company still loves you.
One fine day, I still have to leave the company. Got to have an exit plan.
PS: I hate goodbyes...
